The Edgewater Inn will be forever famous because it's the site of Led Zeppelin's legendarily depraved "shark episode" in 1969. I'm not really even sure how to describe it; you're just going to have to read the Wikipedia article. Choice quote from Zep's tour manager:
"But the true shark story was that it wasn't even a shark. It was a red snapper and the chick happened to be a [...] redheaded broad..."
