Shush! I usually do all of my shopping at shop-rite! It's just that their produce section has been sucking hardcore lately so I've been expanding my horizons to the more expensive stores in hopes of better stuff. :P

Seriously Chris... that's how BAD shop-rite's produce has been lately. I went to Genuardi's for my last few trips, but the Super Fresh is across the street from the Shop-Rite and I was on my way home so it was the most convenient today and figured I'd see how it compared to Genuardi's.

The "Miss Taco" was Mission flour tortillas ;)

And yes I bought 3 kinds of fish. I marinated the Tilapia in garlic lime and ate it in AV chat. Maybe I'll make some fish tacos just to fulfill your lesbian fantasies hehe.

I lived up the street from a Stop 'n Shop in NY! I don't think they have em in PA though :(

The Shop-Rite is on Ridge Ave. in Roxborough. Not too bad of a hike for you if you wanna avoid shitty ass Pathmark. I drive just as far to get to Genuardi's from here. I feel your pain though, Pathmark sucks the big ones! It was always dirty, and the parking lots were way too small and badly laid out. But at least the one off CityLine was 24hrs so if you were really desperate for food in the middle of the night you could get some. REALLY desperate.

Oh man, -that- is what the newer Acme up here reminds me of. Acme's always tended to be brightly lit, but the one up the street from me that they built to compete with Giant is like the sort of warehouse in which you'd gas people. So depressing.

So what i'm getting is that your Pathmark equals my Food Lion, And the Shop-Rites and Superfresh's are my Kroger's and Ukrops. ((actually none of them are probably like ukrops, there are only like 10 Ukrops in existence and they're locally owned and always like crazy clean and they just don't have the "supermarket" atmosphere, its hard to explain))

Her Superfresh is the sort of place that is lined in leather and fake cheap fur. Where naked midgets try to tar and father you using maple syrup and cap'n crunch crunch berries.Where people dance in the frozen food section slathering each other in ice cream while tweaking their perk nipples. This is a place no one knows your name and they like it better that way. This is Jennyfur's Superfresh and yes she is that kinda girl.


You ever try your talipia covered in a Parmesan cheese and bread crumb mixture and then slather with a pineapple and mango salsa... Good stuff.

All the Stop & Shops in the Philly area died because they couldn't compete. Most of them became Shop Rites.

Besides, they sucked. It's all about Giant Foods.
