Johnny Landmine 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Devo Hat named "Effective non-streaking protection from Space Junk" Which one's your favorite? Mine's Quidam. My family went and saw that one twice when it came to Atlanta ages ago; the second time our tickets were accidentally overbooked so they upgraded us to the only available seats - literally up front and center - for free and the preteen French-Canadian circus girl who played the lead was totally diggin' my preteen casanova shit at the curtain call. C'est la vie. La vie, c'est le cirque. Lumberjack 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Box of Crayons named "Color me bad" Sadly I've never seen Cirque live, and only a few on DVD. Saltimbanco is definitely a favorite, and I really want to see La Nouba in it's entirety. I've watched parts of it on YouTube, specifically where they have all the trampolines and the buildings, and the performers are running up the walls and all that craziness.
It's just amazing that the human body can actually do such incredible things. Dia 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Radtaculous Glove of POWWWEER named "It helps with the DRILLBIT MANEUVER!" I like Cirque du Soleil too!
Man, if you have any love for The Beatles, you HAVE to see Love. It's the closest thing I can imagine to going to a Beatles concert now, since that's not exactly possible. The visuals are amazing - easily my favorite Cirque show. I wish I had seen Quidam when it was touring - my family and I saw Alegria in Atlanta, though! We went home afterward and I immediately started throwing together a crafty closet version of the chanteuse's crazy dress. Because I am a goober. Also: I am okay with putting blue cheese dressing on pretty much anything. Johnny Landmine 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Devo Hat named "Effective non-streaking protection from Space Junk" Alegria was amazing, too. I was like 9 or 10 when it came to town and I still remember how impressed I was. Still, Quidam had the most-cohesive story and production of any of the ones I've seen (except for Wintuk, which my roommate and I saw last winter when one day he said "dude let's go see some Cirque du Soleil" and I said "hell yeah let's," which was okay for what it was but definitely not something you'd really go see without kids) and I actually still listen to the soundtrack every now and then. Daria 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Gloomy Bear Plushie named "Doom doom doom" I love Quidam, dude. "Let Me Fall" is one of my favourite songs ever written.
And, hmm... I'm not afraid of heights per se, but I do get this warning pain in the bottom of my feet if I am up really high. It's weird. cake xplozion 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Hello Kitty Vibrator named "where have you been all my life" I want to rub Cirque du Soleil all over me and then be in the circus.
though I've only seen O, my mom and I are making a trip to Vegas to see every cirque show there. dpresting 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Lightsaber named "Which hole does this go in??" Kurenai 4 years ago on 10/10/08 Equipped: Angel Wings named "ripped straight off the back of Gabriel" I thought "O" was really amazing (water shows are awesome!) but I love all the other shows that I've seen so far: Quidam, Mystere, Varekai, and Corteo but I also really loved the Delirium show (not to be mistaken with Leeb/Fulber's Delerium), which had so much amazing music from Cirque!
