The last ten episodes of Battlestar Galactica begin tomorrow, (Friday the 16th), and I am unbelievably PUMPED for this!!

This thread will be for everything related to Battlestar Galactica season 4.5, including discussion for episodes that have officially aired, theories based off of clues and webisodes released on the website, and overall orgasm release.

Just to be perfectly clear, this thread WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS. For those of you who have not seen the show, tread lightly.

All that being said, my money is on Tom Zarek being the final Cylon.

For those us without cable, Hulu will be airing the first five episodes of the season on a one day delay. After that, they will be aired on an 8 day delay until the end.

Anyway, my theory of the 5th cylon.

Dualla.

Dualla's whole name is Anastasia Dualla. Anastasia in Greek basically means "resurrection" and literally translates to "she who will rise up again." Dualla = Dual = two. She's also not in the last supper photo. Since there is a noticeable space next to Lee in the photo and a chalice where the empty space is, I can only assume the person missing from that space would be Dualla. Starbuck and Anders are together, Helo and Athena are together, Adama and Roslyn (in the original photo) are on opposite ends of the table, Baltar and 6 are together.

I dunno. It makes sense to me. I am prepared to be blown away though.

so...do I get to watch this episode 3 hours before Cali does and then post the results in here right after?

Dualla is a shitty character and I'm glad she disappeared. Even with your rational about her name, it doesn't really make sense. She's had zero significance in the series/story at all while the other 4 Cylons have, in some way.

Tigh - XO to Adama and leader of the resistance on New Caprica.

Chief - effectively in charge of all the fighters in the fleet and a member of the resistance on New Caprica.

Anders - led the resistance on devastated Caprica and was a major player in the resistance on New Caprica.

Tory - Assistant to Roslin and helped hide and take care of Hera on New Caprica, effectively making her a member of the resistance.

I'm with Gavin on Zarek being the fifth. He was a member of the resistance on New Capirca, he was a dissident in human society before the war, he keeps his loyalties to his ideals over society/the fleet, the fifth model is not in the fleet (Three said there only four in the fleet) which can be construed that they are not loyal to the fleet.

Yo is season 4.0 worth watching or can I skip it?

Part of me still wants Doc Cottle to be the fifth, if only for the "WTF" factor. I sure wouldn't put it past RDM, but I can't think of any good rational for such a stunt.

I actually kind of think

Doc Cottle is a good choice. He's been involved with some pivotal shit regarding Roslin and the Cylons. His loyalty is also placed outside of the fleet and more into medical ethics, even during the resistance on New Caprica.

There was also that scene of the frank exchange that he had with a #3, and some of the things he said to her. Plus the guy smokes around oxygen tanks. If ever a Cylon wanted to be human, that's the way to fool people.

Seems to indicate there's something about Gaeta that we don't fully know of yet:

Gaeta would be too obvious a choice. And really, Gaeta kind of fell into obscurity (fleet wise) after he lost his leg. He's also depressed and hopped up on pills and booze. Could just be the ramblings of a broken man and Gaius feeling a little pity for his former aide.
