512MB RAM kit for SGI O2, and a 146GB SCSI drive w/ IRIX 6.5.30 for O2 systems, preloaded. But it also includes the entire IRIX install media, which I need for other experiments on Octane and Tezro. Bit of a steal at $82 for the drive + CD media images.
PS: The RAM kit was $101, too. Stupid eBay sellers hyping up the price on archaic computer hardware. And to think, I used to get into bidding wars with that specific seller, too. I feel like Sonic to Mario, now...

Wow do I feel your pain on this one. Idiots wanted >$30 for a dirt common Apple II 16k card. Eventually found one for a little over $20 on blujay. Ugh.

I think the current working hypothesis for this bubble is "Stupid nostalgic baby boomers with too much money."

Well, in the used SGI market, some of these sellers make a living on these old systems, because plenty of shops still use them, even though a Tezro is pushing 10-years old now. So, they charge prices less than what SGI would charge, but way above what the average hobbyist can afford. That said, IRIX support formally terminates at the end of this year, so I anticipate a flood of old SGI equipment hitting eBay then. It'll make for a good Christmas :)

It's a sad life when your impulse buy is spending your food stamps on a food that's not a necessity lol

An A|X jacket. WTF I don't own designer anything. But I forgot to bring a jacket/sweater/whatever with me to Atlantic City and I was cold, so shopping happens.

Bought a Raspberry Pi.

Finally found an excuse to get one. It'll go in my arcade controller to make it an all-in-one emulation system.

Would love to do this, except I already have 9845932498594503453 emulation machines.

I bought a Members' Only jacket, realized it was too big, so I gave it to the boyfriend.

Then I went thrift shopping some more and bought a clubbing outfit.

IMO, great investment impulse buys.
