Bad Wolf 2 years ago on 03/13/11 Equipped: SPORK OF ENLIGHTENMENT named "El Cuchador" Bumping because I am making a huge, beautiful corned beef that's already marinated in delicious juices and spices in my crock pot, with onion, carrots, and potatoes. I'm gonna cook it on low for 5 hours, and add cabbage to the pot in the last hour.
My mouth is already watering. Early St. Patty's day dinner! Kevin's working on the 17th and won't get home until 8 or so, and I'll be too busy drinking to eat. A Study in Pink 2 years ago on 03/13/11 Equipped: Home Pregnancy Test named "I'm going to name him Xantar II" I just made potato and leek soup in mine! I sort of went to the bar after work instead of going home to turn it off, so it cooked for like 12 hours, but since it was going in the blender afterwards anyway, no harm was done, and it's creamy and delicious. Princess Katy Cuppincakes 20 months ago on 10/15/11 Equipped: Pocket Link named "small but pleasing" Bump for the fall-winter season!
Today I made the best/east pot roast! 1 4-5lb chuck roast 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 packet of onion soup mix 2 cups of water. Dump it all in the crock. Cook for 4 hours or high or 8 on low. The sauce is seriously MAGICAL. PS: I meant best/easy... fukkake 20 months ago on 10/18/11 Equipped: Cockblast of Vengence named "Crotchfire!" Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore
1-2 15 oz cans of Hunt's tomato sauce (depending on how saucy you are) 4 skinless bone-in chicken breasts 1 red pepper sliced long 1 green pepper sliced long 1 large yellow onion sliced long or quartered 1 pkg of pre-sliced mushrooms 4 gloves of garlic minced 2 tsps of parsely flakes salt and peper to taste Throw it all in the crockpot together (make sure to nestle those chicken breasts in the sauce) and let it cook 6-8 hours on low. Matthew 20 months ago on 10/18/11 Equipped: Raffi's Christmas Album I've been making a slow cooker meal basically every Tuesday, since I always have the day off and I want to treat my baby. I'm pretty new (and clueless) in the kitchen so I stick to recipes for the most part, and thus far I've made a shepherd's pie, a lasagna, a beef-and-onions-and-apple-juice amazing thing, and some chicken dish I already forget. They've all been good (although my own error screwed up the shepherd's pie) but my favorite was probably the beef dish:
2 to 3 lbs. round steak, cut in cubes or serving-size pieces 2 to 3 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. flour 2 med. onions, quartered & sliced about 1/4" 1 1/2 c. apple juice 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. brown sugar 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. ginger 1 Tbs. vinegar Melt butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Toss meat with flour and brown over medium heat; transfer to the slow cooker/Crock Pot. Add sliced onions to the hot pan. Brown onions quickly, stirring to loosen browned bits. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl or 2-cup measure, stir, then add to onion mixture. Turn the heat to medium--high and boil for about 2 minutes, stirring, until mixture is reduced and thickened somewhat. Pour over the round steak. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Serve with buttered noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes. Serves 6 to 8. Tonight I'm making a pork chop dish I found online with soy sauce and garlic and ginger. Really been craving some really tender pork lately (HEH). If it turns out non-toxic I'll share the recipe (or you can do what I do and google "Slow Cooker Pork Chop" it's not like I'm Gordon Ramsey over here or anything). Mac 19 months ago on 11/06/11 Equipped: Ticket for the Man Train I made this recipe out of crap I was craving it was SO GOOD. I winged it completely and LOVED the outcome. We served it with some Honey Butter Biscuits.

Swapping out a habanero for a splash of blair's ultra death. This should work, right? :D Britishly Delicious 19 months ago on 11/07/11 Add a red or orange sweet pepper too, you're replacing the spice of the habanero, but you need to replace the sweet fruitiness too. tranoidnoki@buttmail.com 19 months ago on 11/07/11 Equipped: Embarassing Yaoi Fanfiction by LostDecoy named "The Adventures of Junun and Dio" Johnny English said: I didn't read this in time, but it tastes great! Walter! 16 months ago on 02/15/12 Equipped: Apple named "Orange you glad I didn't say banana?" Bump! I just got a hand-me-down slow cooker from my mom and I can't decide what to make first. fukkake 16 months ago on 02/16/12 Equipped: Cockblast of Vengence named "Crotchfire!" Oh god, this is totally boring but I roast whole chickens in my crockpot and they comeout so so good. I throw in some water, onions, carrots, celery and garlic cloves and leave it on low for 6-8 hours. Not only do I have a delicious chicken for a few days but I alos just made myself stock! Walter! 16 months ago on 02/16/12 Equipped: Apple named "Orange you glad I didn't say banana?" So I know one of the joys of the slow cooker is that you can set it up before you go to work and once you get home, dinner is all ready. That's what really got me excited about having one of my very own. The problem is that most recipes I see call for 4-6 hours of cooking, at low, and I'm gone closer to 11 hours of the day. Can anyone recommend me some serious long-cooking recipes so I don't over cook dinner? fukkake 16 months ago on 02/16/12 Equipped: Cockblast of Vengence named "Crotchfire!" The whole chicken is a great meal, gumbos, chili, roasts... they are all good and can benefits from a NICE long roast. Britishly Delicious 16 months ago on 02/16/12 Walter! said: It generally won't do it too much harm for the extra time. As long as there's plenty of liquid then it'll stay nice and moist and if anything, the meat will be even more tender. fukkake 16 months ago on 02/16/12 Equipped: Cockblast of Vengence named "Crotchfire!" Dan is correct, when making chili or anything that I know will take longer then the suggested time I just add a little more liquid. Princess Katy Cuppincakes 16 months ago on 02/17/12 Equipped: Pocket Link named "small but pleasing" If you are really concerned, some slow cookers have a timer on them that can kick the pot over to the "warm" setting after your desired cooking time. I do NOT have this feature, and I do have to say I have never made something in a slow cooker that tasted overcooked. | Geek dating and social networking for awesome people.OtakuBooty is where smart, funny, sexy nerds meet.
