That was absolutely everything...EVERYTHING...I could have hoped for. That was amazing. Mercedes and Rachel both were outstanding. And in the context of the show, I did not hate "My Life Would Suck Without You." That takes a lot.

Rachel's song was fantastic, and no offense to the Mercedes character, but I've been watching The X Factor (British American Idol) and have heard that Dreamgirls song a million times this week, so I was already burnt out on it. If you're a large black lady I guess that's the only ballad you're allowed to do. Really good episode, though. I loved that ending. Her malice is funny, but only when it's tempered with her wonky, oddball behavior. "Mattress" wasn't a fun episode to see her in because she was just pure hatred, but I think they've struck the balance right before, and hopefully they'll have it down all next season.
