gained back a few pounds, but judging by my measurements, it's just that I'm gaining muscle faster than I'm losing fat and I'm totally okay with it. been trying to hit the gym every day, even if I just do 20-30 minutes of cardio and 10-15 minutes of weight training. I'm making 3 miles in under 33 minutes on high incline and moderate resistance on the crossramp machines at my gym. (still can't keep up that pace on a treadmill because of my bad knees and ankles, but I'm building muscle that's taking weight off of my joints, so I'm still excited).

so happy to see everyone else hitting milestones! you guys keep me motivated, especially now that most of my gym buddies have gotten lazy on me.

Still trying to balance getting my knees into proper working condition with maintaining a workout schedule that doesn't further destroy them. Hurting them worse would just disable me more, so there are a lot of exercises that I flat out can't do and will never be able to do. This is extremely difficult to wrap my head around, and I miss a lot of that stuff, but I'm getting better at it! Lost a few pounds in the last weeks and my arms are feeling freaking ripped. Woo arm stuff!

I've decided to start training capoeira again in an attempt to lose weight. I stopped training about 3 years ago and weigh about 30 lbs more than I want to which is all located in my gut.

I've plateaued weight-loss-wise and my 3 month block of personal training ends today. Not sure what I want to do between now and BC, other than knowing I don't want to stop working out altogether.

Matt, mix it up. Start trying new cardio exercises while upping your toning exercises! Sometimes the body needs that 3 mile bike ride instead of the regular kickboxing. It works different muscles and jolts the body back from the routine.

If not, just try and maintain. There is nothing wrong with upping the toning, building muscle, and maintaining what you have lost either!

Perry, , that is so badass and inspiring!! I've been working out 5 days a week and yesterday this super fierce Zumba teacher that teaches at my daughters capoeira school went out of her way to come up to me to tell me I looked really great! I'm still riding high from it!

So I got on the scale for the first time in probably 6months or something and I've gained more weight than I thought. I'm pretty ashamed because I guess I was under some sort of delusion that I had that shit under control.
Last time I got on the scale and was super disappointed/shocked I ended up losing like 70lbs so maybe this reality check is what I needed.
I've already been working out but I was operating under the misapprehension that I would only need to tone and wasn't even planning on weighing myself.
Bleh now my goal is losing 30lbs.
Going on a bike ride tonight on top of strength training.

I was so fit before surgery that I had forgotten how much it hurts to start working out while unfit. Fuckkkk

Sooo over the last two years I've lost 75 pounds, which has lowered my blood pressure, which in turn revealed that my heart has a tendency to stop beating for several seconds at a time which now causes me to faint (behind the wheel and crash a car) due to an over-active vagus nerve which means I needs a pacemaker. Surgery in two weeks. Will try to be the new post-operation attractive girl. THANKS SKINNINESS.

I did a Fried Chicken 8k yesterday for Philly Beer Week! It started at 3pm so I definitely did a lot of walking through the city because it was pretty hot and people are fucking stupid obstacles and I got tired of running and stopping. Did it in about an hour and 5 minutes and then there was glorious fried chicken.

Just tried an app on Android called "Sworkit." Set your time and gives you random at-home exercises to do. I only did 5 minutes but it seemed pretty legit--even had several I'd never tried.

Since I can't drive anywhere (gym) until I get a pacemaker, might be the ticket to staying un-plump. Thought I'd share: http://sworkit.com/

Does anybody know anything about the 30 Day Shred? I'm looking at it to do in July...have any of you done it? Heard of someone that did it?

Some lady on my Tumblr said she did it and lost 2 pant sizes. I dunno if it would be that crazy but it couldn't hurt to do 30 minutes a day for 30 days

I've done the 30 day shred like.. 4 times.
I'm currently doing it right now actually.

It's pretty comprehensive, but I would add extra cardio when you can for better results.
You sweat, and it really helps your increase stamina.. but whenever I just did the program without any extra cardio I never saw AMAZING results like I'd see from others online. I read that the average calorie burn for the 30minutes is 274, but when I wear my heart monitor I find it to be more like 360.
It's nice how quick the work out goes by and I find the level changes to be 'entertaining'.
I guess I feel it's a good place to start? if you're getting into 'home' HIIT workouts.
