Pee Chat “Gunnin' for that 7 Day Survivor Achievement” by Lord_BullGod Lord_BullGod 10 years ago on 03/15/10 Equipped: Triforce named "ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL!!!!!!!!" It takes about 14 hours of straight gametime (no saves, limited supplies) to pull this off. I want Dead Rising to be the first game I get 100% of the achievements on. I can pause, but it's gonna be tough. I pray the 360 doesn't rrod on me.
6:25 PM - About half a day has passed already, I already got all the wine bottles from the food court. I also am stalling and waiting in the North Plaza, waiting for the food items in there to run out. While trying to beat Resident Evil 5: Desperate Escape on Professional difficulty, I left my XBox on all weekend because you can't save your game and I had other shit to do. No RRoD! I definitely won't be shooting for the 14 hours straight, it might take me a course of 24 hours (hopefully I don't rrod). But some friends and I were heading to Atlantic City tonight, but those plans got scrapped, and this may be the one night of my Spring Break I can shoot for this achievement. PS: Also, because I only got one shot at this achievement, I WILL use maps and some tips from other people who used it before

7:00 PM I think I'm getting close to completing the first 24 hours. I spent most of my time in the North Plaza since it has few items, and it's always heavily populated. Wanted to get it out of the way. So because of the freeze issues, I may spend day 2 in there, leaving a few items to be saved later. Standing around and doing nothing is quite a chore though. PS: Also, to maximize my 360's breathing, I raised it from the carpet floor to having two ends propped up with Nintendo DS game cases. In case the bottom needs to do any breathing at all, or help circulate air down there. Also moved some furniture around to increase breathing space. PS: 9:25 PM Man, I've just completed two out of seven days so far. It's not hard, nor is this too easy. I just get so scared of the 360 freezing. I'm watching Deathnote since I still need to finish it on this netbook while I watch the tv. My roommate leaves my 360 on all the time, and other than pissing me off, especially since the thing so obviously sounds like it's struggling sometimes, I've never had a real issue. I made my way into the maintenence tunnels, took the Convicts' Hummer with me so I can use the .50 calibur to get the milk cartons down there. Almost halfway there. Xbox seems to be holding up so far. PS: 12:43 I've spent enough time in the goddamn maintenence tunnels, the butcher shop to be precise. I've lost track of time, I don't know when I exit whether or not it'll be light out. The zombies are always at their strongest... when the sun is down. PS: 12:49 It's bright outside. I passed the halfway point: I eclipsed 3 days and 14 hours so far. I depleted resources in every spot except the food court, the Entrance Plaza, and Paradise Plaza. Basically all the areas that surround the helipad.
Xbox feels good. I can definitely do this. Sooner or later though I gotta go hunt down some psychopaths to get some more goods off them. PS: I went into the Security room to change my clothes. For the last two day stand, I switched to the camo pants, combat boots, and ammo bandoleers. Nah, the achievement has to be done in Infinity Mode. Your life slowly drains, and you need to eat to survive. And food doesn't respawn, and Seon's Grocery is closed.
4:57 AM I killed enough psychopaths to stockade me some goods to last me until the end of the 6th day. And I saved enough stuff in the last spots to make me able to have enough food. Only a matter of time. PS: 6:27 AM I'm fully loaded and making my entry into the security room. I have enough supplies to last me until 8 AM. The hallway leading to the security room should be packed. Security room is clear, on my way up the stairs onto the Helipad. Final Inventory: 2 bottles of wine, two pizzas, a cooked steak, 3 health boosts, a Queen Bee, assault rifle with 150 rounds, and finally the unlocked megabuster and lightsaber. Less than a half hour until extraction. GOD SAVE US ALL. PS: 7:34 AM
