Even better: How about a script that automatically starts a "happy birthday" thread in PeeChat, and then automatically posts birthday wishes from everyone on the user's friend list?

While I think it would be a nice feature to have, I don't really see any pressing need for it. Between people who know already, Facebook and Myspace reminders, etc. I think it's pretty well covered for now.
