I played HoN for a while and honestly I much, much prefer LoL. Also I pretty much never see any of you duders online.

RE: Differences between HoN and LoL

1. All the heroes are new. Some can be seen as inspired designs or abilities, but none of them can be seen as rehashes or ports. Balance isn't too bad, new heroes tend to be too weak or too strong, but get sorted out pretty quickly.

2. Mechanics are more progressive than DotA, and perhaps seen as 'easymode' to hardcore DotA and HoN players but those players are generally assholes too so there you go. No denying, creep and players are highlighted when they attack you, there are bushes that hide line of site that players can also hide in, buffs are on jungle monsters instead of in river, towers have visual notifications when they are attacking you and are also more powerful, abilities have visual notifications as to how they are aimed/range/targeting etc. Stats are not broken into Strength/Agility/Intelligence but stats like move speed/crit chance/armor and magic pen/physical and magic damage/etc

3. Updates are regular, player base is strongly payed attention to

4. Matchmaking has been in for a while, and can be iffy at times but largely is pretty great. I definitely don't miss searching through trying to find decent games in HoN, half of them being set to easy mode

5. Stat tracking is basically the same.

6. This cannot be done, and is perhaps one of HoN's biggest things over LoL

7. Player base is strong, rarely do you have to wait in the matchmaking queue for long at any of the skill levels

8. Not sure how to comment here. There are tow different matchmaking modes as well as custom games. Matchmaking are Normal or Rank. Normal is blind pick, Ranked is... whatever that mode is called where you can ban heroes. Ranked also keeps track of and displays skill level in ranked.

I've been playing a lot of smurf accounts to learn different characters. Plus if you refer yourself you get a free IP boost.

how do you do your mord build? hes free this week and in the three times ive played him ive convinced myself that hes the next champ im going to save up and unlock.

I just starting plying this recently myself. I was playing Ashe for several days, and she is the only champion I've unlocked thus far.

I too have been playing with Mordekaiser the past day or too, and quite enjoy him (it?). I feel like I could be doing better, but I'm getting a good feel for him. I still feel very unsure about his item loadout, and haven't had much, or really any, time to experiment or just read through various items.

Right now I'm starting off with Rejuvenation Bead, and then upgrading that to Warden's Mail. Following that with Sorcerer's Shoes, and then getting my Sunfire Cape. After that I've been working towards an Abyssal Scepter...but I haven't had a game go long enough to get past that point yet.

i start with regrowth pendant then rush rylai's followed by cooldown boots. depending on how the game is going i either build force of nature, will of the ancients or rabadon's deathcap.

I still think we should enter a tournament. I've been playing a touch more lately after stopping completely (I don't like playing alone) because my friends started playing rift. I still own a really nice vent server so anyone can use it if you'd like.

I play this game All The Time. My main is Poppy. God I love me some Hammer Smurf. If there is too much melee, I play as Malz or Leblanc. I am lvl 30 and have 3 pages of full runes. I have one melee AD page, one ranged AP page, and one Tank page.

My Mord build:

Basically it's invincikaiser.

I start with a regrowth pendant first and a healing pot. Mainly I grab force of nature first in MOST cases since like a large majority of champs deal magic damage when they harass you. It gives you 3 things you need, move speed, magic resist and massive healing. The only time this changes is when i'm laning against someone who keeps landing physical hits on me. In those cases i'll grab a chainmail and build into either a thornmail or sunfire cape depending more on their team comp than anything. If most of their damage comes from attacks, thornmail. if the damage is mostly abilities, sunfire. After that i'll grab merc treads. And then if i get a ryjal's crystal scepter. After that i'm basically done, and anyone who gets slapped by siphon destruction is pretty much dead.

I prefer being unkillable before dealing damage. after all, you're mordkaiser. The damage will come eventually. all you need to do is stand there and not die.

I still play this game all the time and am always up for some 5mans. I never see anyone from here online though! I went through and added the usernames I saw.


Also, the problem with Mobafire is everyone there builds every character like a carry. I really disagree with a lot of the builds posted there :x

Let's commit to a time to play as a 5 team and see how we do.

I still play, but i have hard time taking the game seriously. I really just want to rock Garen, Teemo, or Jedi Yi all day long

Just played a 5 man with Tank where we absolutely demolished a gimmick team. Feels good. B)
