I would have been annoyed if she hadn't been rattled by that experience, because then she would have gone too far in the other direction and wouldn't have been relatable, IMO. (And then all the internet would be complaining about how she was too hardcore. Really this is one of those things where I think Whedon probably couldn't have won no matter what he had her do.) Other then the giant snake things reminding of a boss from devil may cry 3 and the inverse ninja law for the alien army, I enjoyed it a lot. I was pretty skeptical going in and I'm REALLY happy with the result! And the after-credits teaser for this one made me freak out even more than the one after Iron Man 2!
Disappointment that no one cares about except me: Black Widow's Russian was pretty blech. If she was really being interrogated by anyone in Russia, she'd have got about three words out before her captors heard her accent, thought "American agent," and shot her in the head. Favorite little moment(s): Anytime Banner and Stark had science to do, or even any of the times when it was implied that they MIGHT BE ABOUT TO DO SCIENCE! Runner-up: Hulk's good-measure sucker punch. Still makes me giggle.
