ANUSTART 17 months ago on 01/18/12 My Guardian on Ebon Hawk is at 29, and we've gotten groups for a few runs of each of the flashpoints up through Cademimu. It's nice to have a challenge in an MMO again. Figuring out some of these fights has been incredibly fun. Still haven't finished ACT I, because we've been completing every quest in every place. Still on Nar Shaadaa.  Panzer Panda 17 months ago on 01/19/12 Equipped: Triforce Killed my first world boss today with a group of 15 or so on Tatooine. Little sad that the two loot items it dropped had no effect for my trooper by still just happy to be doing a group activity since I can never find anyone to do the Flashpoints with me. Already leveled past the Athesis and just ran it by myself to grab some useful loot but really want to do the next one before it’s too late. Plus finally had my first PvP encounter with a Sith Jedi and was proud to come out on top with grenades and constant blaster fire to keep him at distance. We have 10 other level 50's in our guild in addition to Junun & 2 others who are also at 49. Cannot wait to get in on end game content! I've only played for a few days, couple of hours during those times, and I'm already at level 27.
I'm just busy with work, gym, and life that I usually only play on weekends or Friday nights. The idea is to enjoy the story and then start all over with a different class to enjoy that class story. With all the new content they're adding, warzones, huttball, space combat, +10 datacrons it's easy to get distracted doing other things. On my server, everyone drives around and around in circles in the central area. Eventually Republic people arrive, and we fight. We eventually drive them off because we outnumber them, and then we drive around in circles again.
It's kind of awful, though I do enjoy the big, open-world PvP battles. They really thought this would be good pvp. The first day of the patch, you didn't insta-die when you went to the republic med center. And the zerg of sith pretty much camped the med center and aoed all of the republics at their spawn, all you could do was log if you were republic. Because you had no way to leave. A lot of sith were able to farm battlemaster(apparently some people hit rank 100 on my server), because the valor you got was insane. Yeah, I mean, I think PvP on Ilum is fine, when you have even numbers of Republic and Imperials. But the fact of the matter is that most servers are skewed at least 60/40 Empire, if not way more. As such, it's just not a very satisfying PvP experience, and they definitely need to do something about it. I don't understand why they don't have PvP battlegrounds like in WoW. Maybe because they were trying really hard to be different? I actually really enjoy Huttball, I just wish there were more Huttball stages. I also wish CC wasn't so heinously overpowered in Huttball.
