The Beastie Boys are the band I've loved the most consistently for the longest time, and though they had ups and downs, I don't think they've put out anything that any other band wouldn't be proud to have in their catalogue. MCA was my favorite member, insofar as I can declare one without getting into "clipping his photo out of Tiger Beat" territory. A truly inspiring guy. I think they were the first band I really got into. I remember when Hello Nasty dropped; that was the anthem for my summer back in '98... And before that came out I remember buying Ill Communication back when I was about 12 and thinking I was a huge bad ass.
