I came across this game a few months ago, had a blast with it, then sort of forgot about it. It's easy to learn and play, can be incredibly silly and is loads of fun.

Complete rules are here: http://groundhoggth.blogspot.com/2014/06/tech-support.html

I'll be playing the part of the call-taker. If someone wants to jump in as another call-taker, identify yourself as such when you post. One caller per call-taker.

When I made coffee this morning, instead of my usual fragrant brew, the result turned out to be a liquid which is almost - but not quite - entirely unlike tea. I am totally within my warranty.

I understand. How many beans' worth of grounds did you use? Was it an even or odd number?

We always use an even number. If you figure 10 beans = 1 scoop, we use 40 beans' worth of grounds.

I see. We've been receiving calls from people in situations similar to yours lately. It seems that our coffee makers will sometimes completely foul up when filled with a non-prime number of scoops. This problem is usually rectified with a prime number of scoops being utilized. If you could, please try that now. I'll hold.

No, I have tried it with 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and 11 scoops. Any more and it just turns into sludge. Highly caffeinated sludge to be sure, but not what I am looking for,

A pity. I'm afraid there's nothing to be done to fix your current appliance, but since you're under warranty, you're entitled to a replacement coffee maker. We can send you one direct from our nearest warehouse and it should arrive at your doorstep within a week. Is that satisfactory?

Dear sir,

How old are the boots, and have your feet grown since the last time you wore them?

Also, have you tried taking the boots off?

the boots are about a year old. i dont think my feet have grown in the past year.

kept the boots on; didnt want to change anything and accidentally make things worse.

took boots off. feet still hurt, but a little less so. but now bedroom smells weird and feet itch.

Have you tried XYZ brand of foot powder?

Also, were you wearing socks? If so, were they unusually thick?

Please let me know if the foot powder resolves the issue.

Did you possibly sustain damage to your feet from an external source, such as the shovel?

been using the foot powder. it makes the bedroom smell nice and fresh, but my feet still itch. i have tried using more powder to help fight the itch, but i dont think my socks will hold any more powder.

also, yes, i think my feet did sustain damage from and external source. but not from the shovel. i think i have rocks in my socks. the sidewalk to the corner store is being repaired, so it is just the foundation gravel until the walkway gets repoured. i have rocks in my socks from i walked down the block.

current summary of status:
day 1- wore boots to plant tree, boots made feet sore.
day 6- took boots off. feet slightly less sore after taking boots off. feet then itched and bedroom smelled funky.
day 10- walked down the block in socks. got rocks in socks. powder on socks fixed room smell.
day 11- feet no longer sore in the same way as on day 1. feet really itch. bedroom smells baby powder fresh. rocks still in socks.

Dear Sir,

I believe it would be expedient to remove the rocks from your socks at this point. In fact, one may be so bold as to remove the socks.

Please try soaking your feet for 20 minutes in a mixture of 1/2 cup of plain white vinegar, 1/2 cup of Listerine mouthwash (any flavor), and 1 cup warm water. Scrub dry with fluffy towel. This should alleviate the itch and remove any dead skin. Note that this is best performed while your feet are au naturel; as wearing socks or other foot coverings will not produce the best results.
