Apparently the seventh Star Wars film by Quentin Tarantino has been named, but then the name was rejected, and finally someone approved the actual name that the film will be released with, like it will be on the poster and on top of the text stuff that tells you what you'll need to care about

At this point what the fans REALLY want to know is when will "Weird Al" mockingly summarize the film to the tune of The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald(probably)

I know that flag has little currency because at this point, like, three people post a month, but you had me at Gordon Lightfoot

The legend lives on with a new padawan
Though this one's refreshingly girly
Rey, scrappy and mean, who lives on Tatooine
Finds a robot who's all round and whirly

The saga begins when we first see young Finn
A sweet guy but a lousy Stormtrooper
Refused to shoot kids, then he took off his lid
By First Order rules, kind of a blooper

Finn fled and hitched on with one Poe Dameron,
Til' their X-Wing was blasted to rubble
Stranded in the sand, with Poe's coat in his hand,
But no sign of his friend's handsome stubble
PS: I'm legitimately mad at myself for forgetting Jakku isn't Tatooine but the rhyme was solid

How about like "Rey, scrappy and mean, from some new Tatooine"

I think we were all supposed to forget Jakku wasn't Tatooine

Now we're back on Jakku, where Rey trades parts for stew
When she happens upon a McGuffin
It's Poe's little droid, BB8, a spheroid
With a head like he's R2's wee cousin

PS: This was touched on in the first verse but we circled around to some stuff that happened after we met Rey but before she found BB8 so here we are trying to pick up the narrative

Rey and Finn in a bind, the First Order behind,
Hop the Falcon to head somewhere further
When a smuggler they find, Obi-Wan of a kind,
A stuck-up and half-witted nerf herder

Rey, Finn, Ball and ship got tracked down by Han
And that apeman who got no medallion
But Han owed some brigands so they all ran
In the Wreck of the Millenium Falcon
PS: I figured out a while ago that I really want this parody to be called that and I was trying to angle it to that phrase but, you know, naturally. Did I park it right? I am too close to this
