So, me and Lovestreet are arguing which of these is better. Bar-none it's Mummies. They have magic, minions, intelligence, exoticness, AND ...well black people in general just do everything better.

The mummies definitely have the added bonus of some sort of intelligence, so they're harder to fight individually, but zombies generally have that whole power in numbers thing going. They're kinda like ants without the queen.Really hard to get rid of despite their stupidity.

Well, if you're talking about the flesh-eating zombies, I think they're cooler. They may not have the magic the mummies have but they only have one thing in mind . . . making lunch out of you. The fun part is, you get to join them if they get a nibble of you!

By "better" are we talking about "more powerful" or "more awesome".

I wouldn't want to fight a mummy. Mummies are some bad ass stone cold killers who had their brains pulled out their nose and are totally our for revenge.

Zombies eat brains, human flesh and/or are created through some kinky ass voodoo magic.

It's a rough call for me but it comes down to is we're talking about who's kick my ass worse or who is more awesome.

Zombies are a core choice. Mummies are a special choice. I think that pretty much sums it up.

Zombies. They can articulate much more clearly than mummies. "Brrrrrrrrrrains" kicks the shit out of "Rrrrrrrrrrrrr".

Zombies. There is really no contest, considering mummies are simply a lesser non-human eating form of living dead.

PEOPLE! Have you not read The Zombie Survival Guide??? zombiesurvivalguide.com
It fully explains the difference between mummies and zombies. It also discusses the difference between real zombies and voodoo zombies! This book will enlighten you as to the realities of how freakin' dangerous zombies are. Plus haven't you seen George A. Romero's Land of the Dead? Those zombies evolved and became smart. They fully learned how to use semi-automatics. It was a pretty lame movie, but it fully scored one for the zombies!

But zombie movies are always a million times better than the mummy movies... which are also in short supply. Plus Shaun of the Dead = zombies, not mummies...

Generally I think mummies are more dangerous, on the whole, and I'm not sure if there's really a set way to kill them. Zombies are pretty easy to knock off, as long as they're not in groups... Even so, what would a group of mummies do? The apocalypse, my friends, the apocalypse.

BUT I'll see a zombie movie any day over a mummy movie. ^_^

That is a good point, zombie movies are in mass supply compared to your mummy flick. On zombies being alone? VERY RARELY.... while the zombie is really oblivious to its peers, when one zombie releases a moaning recognition of a food source the others are sure to follow. Mummy's true power is in it's curse. A mummy has no brain and that alone makes it scary. Think about it... a moving thing without a free will. It's one desire is revenge, where as a zombie is only thinking about the need to feed. Revenge is slightly more threatening. I guess we're lucky that we don't live near any tombs. If I had a choice though, I'd choose to fight one solitary mummy over a herd of zombies. Maybe I choose that path because I know a lot about Egyptology and think I'd fare better, either way... I'd really dislike facing either creature, unless of course it's on the silver screen.

shit, it's mummies all the way. They keep their brains conveniently outside their bodies and away from harm. What sort of super-natural creature goes around attacking people and then having such a lame, exposed weakness as its brain. Also, zombies can only spread disease, while mummies can enslave people, what's more useful?

now if you're looking for shear destructive power, zombies are it. they are like termites, they eat away (literally) and before you know it, they've taken over! Mummies are so theatrical that its hard to not notice they are controlling things.
