What are the top five dishes you want to learn how to make?

Here are my current top 5 (not in order)

1. Palak paneer (like the Trader Joe's one, but not greasy). I'd also add red potatoes to it.
2. Baklava
3. Something non-chicken that would go with rosemary herb red potatoes
4. Thai iced tea/mochi (tied)
5. Tom kha kai (substituting chicken for something else, but not pork. i dont mind chicken broth but I generally hate cooked chicken)

@Ak, to the contrary, I like cooking bacon naked because that way, if any grease splatters, it won't stain my clothes lol.

I've decided to compromise by wearing an apron and underwear. I just checked and from the street you'd definitely be able to see me. Just don't want to traumatize any unsuspecting passerby XP

Need laptop recommendations: I'm trying to go more into art/design and need a new laptop.

I've been told that Macs are the way to go, but wondering if anyone has recommendations for PCs (less $). Or if I should just shell out the money for a Mac. I don't mind investing if it's the right choice. Also, what types of specs I should be looking at?

Annnd I also discovered today that there are about a gajillion meetup.com meetups for people who are interested in sci fi/fantasy/gaming/etc in the Bay Area! Why didn't I think of this before? My new goal is to check out a bunch of these and make new friends here. :D
