“Hi. My name's James, and I'm a bit of a geek. I love Japanese culture. I'm a great guy, although 5'5" or somewhere thereabouts. I like a good conversation and I love to laugh and try new things. I enjoy exploring and I really like eating out.”
What do you do for fun?
“I surf the web, I go for walks, or I'll find something on TV, a movie or documentary. I'd also clean/organise my living space. I like things to be sorted.”
What do you do? You know- job, school, freelance sorcery, etc.
“I worked in comic shops for 5 years, Forbidden Planet, FP Warehouse, Orbital Comics/manga. I also volunteer at Sci-Fi London Film Festival and Tokonatsu Kitchen every year. Now I work 40+ hours a week at Yo Sushi.”
What's your dream job?
“To develop my ideas and live off of them. ”

“I own a t-shirt that has Pedobear slashing Ronald McDonald in the face, which I picked up in Nakano Broadway in Tokyo. I have DOZENS of t-shirts. I love 'em, especially Terratag. I also have a beer glass filled with 1p and 2p pieces. And a Pirate hat”

Describe the sort of person you're looking for!
“Someone who can tolerate my interests, be willing to try silly and fun things with me, and perhaps introduce me to things I hadn't thought of sampling. An adventerous, smart person who can last but doesn't take it all too seriously.”
Do you think long distance relationships can work?
“Not too-long distance, I think. I like contact. Of course it can work, but it's not what I'd prefer. My last girlfriends were from Brighton and Birmingham, and I'm in Kent/London. There's some math.”

“Evangelion, Gunsmith Cats, Azumanga, Dragon Ball Z, Welcome to the NHK, Deathnote, Street Fighter 2, Dragon Half, Kite, Burn Up W, Dirty Pair Flash, Genshiken.”
What's some of your favorite music? What have you been listening to lately?
“I'm always into new music, which could incidentally be old music I've never though of listening to. I like all sorts. My faves are Mad Capsule Markets, Polysics, Rammstein, Franz Ferdinand, Mindless Self Indulgence, Queen, Rage Against the Machine.”
What are some anime/manga/gaming-related interests you have? Watching anime, cons, collecting cels, etc...
“Aah. I've had a lifelong affair with video gaming, and I have a passion for most things Japanese. Anime, manga, cars & design. I also like galleries and museums. Photography and art also spin my wheel. I love movies, too.”
If you go to conventions, what upcoming cons are you attending?
“I'm thinking of the Tokyo Anime Fair and Ame/Aya/Minami. I used to go to Minami but now it's Tokonatsu and SFL for me. I haven't yet tried the MCM expo but everyone says I should go. I've attended the London Anime Club for over 6 years now, too.”
