I'm glad you asked this, as it can be tricky. There really isn't a right answer to this question, as it all comes down to personal preference. Some prefer to go hands-on and bite straight from the source, some use a vibro-corer and eat it slice by slice, and still more prefer to crush them with the Force and eat the resulting mush. I'd suggest trying each method yourself and seeing which one suits you the best. For me, though, there is nothing quite like the primal, atavistic experience of biting into and devouring an apple; it's the next best thing to eating the heart of a defeated foe.

My childhood dog suffered a head injury when he attacked someone trying to hop our fence and rob us one night, and developed epilepsy at some point after that. It was relatively minor, as only his head would shake, and he would always come to us as if to say "I DON'T LIKE THIS MAKE IT STOP!"

We gave him phenobarbitol daily, but it didn't stop them completely. One day, I got the idea to give him an ice cube to distract him, and as soon as he started chewing it up, the seizure stopped, and it worked every time since then.
