A New Twist on an Old Story
A priest is being accused of abusing prostitutes. Cesare Lodeserto, a Catholic priest in Italy, is being charged with kidnapping a handful (pun intended) of Romanian hookers. "The scandal has hit a raw nerve in Roman Catholic Italy, where community leaders have in the past been denounced for using tough tactics while helping the less fortunate. That includes Vincenzo Muccioli, who put drug addicts in chains and condoned beatings to help them kick the habit."
The latest case in a decade of strange/ stupid lawsuits (McDonald's, anyone?) has pulled some interesting voices up to the plaintiff's seat: crabs, birds, and mudskippers (a kind of fish).
