OtakuBooty Saturday Knowledge Dispensary
Part One. We understand that your intestines are a little bit like a track.
Your digestive system is sort of like a racetrack for nutrients, right? Little vitamin race cars rev up in your stomach and then it's off to the nourishment races. It's exciting.
However, it's your "intestinal tract" and not your "intestinal track."
Like, what's the defining characteristic of a race track? It goes around and around and you wind up where you started. And we really hope your digestive process is not like a NASCAR track. That would mean you're eating your own shit 200 times in a row while a bunch of people cheer you on.
Part Two. Your second knowledge drop for the day comes in the form of this chat with Stephen Colbert and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Neil is an excellent humanizer of astronomy and science in general. He grew up in the Bronx, wrestled in high school, and now fights passionately for science in NASA and beyond.
